Potlings · Last updated: 16 October 2026
This policy explains what information Potlings ("the game") collects, why, and what choices you have. The game is published by TechBene ("we").
| Information | Why | Who processes it |
|---|---|---|
| Your garden (potlings, decorations, Leaves, settings) | To save your game. It stays on your device; we never receive it | Nobody but your device |
| Purchase records (product, transaction ID) | To deliver and restore what you bought | Apple App Store or Google Play |
| Gameplay events (tutorial steps, a potling planted, a rewarded ad watched, a purchase made), an app-instance identifier, device and app information, and the country derived from your IP address | To understand how the game is played and where players stop, so we can improve it | Google Analytics for Firebase |
| IP address, device and app information, ad interactions, and on Android the advertising ID | To show rewarded ads, limit how often they repeat, measure them and prevent fraud | Google AdMob |
We do not collect your name, email address, precise location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data. Payments are handled entirely by the App Store or Google Play; we never see your card details.
Settings → Move to a new phone creates a garden code: your saved game written as text. The code is made on your device and goes only where you send it yourself (for example to your own email or notes). We do not receive it. Anyone who has the code can load your garden, so keep it to yourself.
Ads appear only when you choose to watch one for a reward. They are served by Google AdMob. On Android, depending on your region and your choices, Google may use your advertising ID to show personalized ads. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
Gameplay events are tied to a random app-instance identifier, not to your name, and are not used to track you across other companies' apps or to personalize ads. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics is switched on only if you agree to the storage of information on your device in the consent dialog.
Your garden stays on your device until you uninstall the game. Analytics data is kept by Google for up to 14 months.
Because we hold no account or saved game for you, there is nothing on our side to delete; uninstalling the game removes your garden. To reset the analytics identifier, reinstall the game. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA; contact us at the address below.
The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
If we change this policy we will update the date above.
